What will it take to Win a Super bowl

With Super bowl winning and Pro bowl Quarterback Peyton Manning being released by Indianapolis Colts, Media, General Managers as well as fans have been speculating on where he would land next. Miami, Washington, Seattle or Arizona. I wouldn’t be a fan if i didn't wonder what it would be like to have Mr. Manning here in Dallas playing for The Cowboys. True we have Tony Romo, but in the world of what have you done for me lately, I would have to say Tony hasn’t done much. In 5 full seasons as starting Quarterback, all Romo has done was put on staggering numbers but only 1 playoff win and no super bowl championships and the media as well as fans constantly questioning his leadership, dedication and decision making. Miami Dolphins fans will always remember Dan Marino as the best QB they have had in years, Yet no championship. Is that what Tony Romo is? He has probably the best Tight End in the game with Jason Witten, Receivers Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson etc. And A new threat in the running game with DeMarco Murray. Excuses are becoming far and few. With Peyton Manning, He brings leadership that I know no one would question. He sees the field like no other Quarterback in the NFL. Manning's pre-snap routine is one of the most recognizable and parodied routines in sports. I know fans think Tony is a Super bowl winning QB yet he has yet to win that Super bowl. True Manning only has one ring but has gotten his team to the big dance twice and has more playoff appearances getting Indianapolis to the playoffs 11 out of his 13 yrs in the league and every year the Colts did not have stellar Defensive play which I understand Cowboy fans feel that’s all the Boyz need rite now which is true. Cornerback, Linebackers, Safety are all needs but Peyton Manning does give u better chance to win Division, more than one playoff game and possibly Super bowl championship. At the end of a game who do you trust with the ball in his hands? I say Manning. 17 yrs it has been since Cowboys last won a Super bowl. At no time has this organization gone that long without winning a championship and time is up for excuses and selling fans on the fact that this current team can not only get to a Super bowl but win it.

She Devil

Maurine Dickey, Dallas County Commisioner is at it again. This time it's Dallas County Health Department Director Zach Thompson, Questioning the purchase of satallite equipment for the department over 6 yrs ago. I understand wanting to see these things being names and companies that are coming up in the John Wiley Price investigation but from the outside it seems only ones being attacked are minorities spacifically African Americans. Is this a racial thing or not? Some may question that and others may not. I question if all other members of the Commisioners court is just as squeaky clean. I doubt it. Now the equipment in question includes three mobile satellite communications systems supplied by Wai-Wize and paid for by a federal grant to provide the Health Department with communication services in case of an emergency. The principal partner of Wai-Wize is Dallas radio personality and friend of Commissioner Price, Willis Johnson of KKDA am.
According to the search warrant served on Price last month, federal agents were looking for any correspondence linking Price with Willis Johnson and Wai-Wize.
Since 2005, Dallas County has paid Wai-Wize more than $600,000 for the purchase and maintenance of the equipment. The equipment is being used and as recently as when county records building flooded due to A water main break. So is no one other than White members of the county to purchase anything for a certain department? When you keep questioning the minorities, It sure seems like it. I am distraught with the fact you hear nothng on the news as far as Ft.Worth commisioners, Arlington, Garland, Mesquite, Plano etc. Just Dallas. Is this a problem that voters need to rectify by gettting a whole new set of members in order to concentrate on the matters at hand instead of the bickering back and forth and total disregard for the citizens of Dallas. There are alot more underlining problems in Dallas, most notably streets in the southern sector and abandoned properties that still stand and is an eyesore. Concentrate of cleaning up the city North, South, East and West. Thats all we want.

Earning that Star

So Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett has adapted a page out of the Bill Parcells book by taking the star off of helmets of Rookies saying they need to earn that star, And I agree. Too many guys take for granted what it means to not only play in the NFL but for The Dallas Cowboys. With some of the things some of not only the Cowboys now but some of the Past shouldn’t have worn that star. The off the field antics will always overshadow your on the field accomplishments just because of you being A Dallas Cowboy. Funny how if you have a flat tire in the projects of any other city it won’t get mentioned but If you are A Cowboy, the Radio as well as TV analyst will ask “What was he doing over in that section of town”. Now as A Fan I will say we remember the Players that should have even had the Star on their helmets ie. Alexander Wright. Fast as all out doors but couldn’t even catch a cold. My message to the Rookies, earn that star, Earn your money and Be thankful for the position you are in. A lot of people wish they were making that kind of money as well as being a member of AMERICA’S TEAM.

Can Men and Women be just "Friends"

Can men and women be "just friends," or is sexual attraction between the sexes always inevitable? According to Rabbi Shmuley, men and women can be friends with members of the opposite sex, as long as they follow certain rules. He talks about platonic friendship between the sexes and shares his ground rules for opposite-sex friendships outside of marriage.

If a person isn't married or in a serious relationship it's perfectly all right to have friends who are members of the opposite sex. Society has moved away from polarizing the sexes, and today, men and women work together, go to school together and should be able to be friends, he says.

Things are different if you are married or in a relationship. It is possible to have an opposite sex friendship, but you cannot compromise certain borders:

1. You can't go out to late night dinners together. You can have lunch together in a public place, but you should not order alcoholic beverages. "The embers of attraction really can grow in situations like that, and suddenly it's not so innocent, it's not just friendship anymore," Rabbi Shmuley says.

2. You can't take long drives or long flights with the other person, even if it's for work. "Even if you have to work with a colleague [of the opposite sex], there are still certain boundaries you need to preserve," he says.

3. You cannot place yourself in any situation where romance can grow. "Romance grows when people are alone; romance grows when people tell secrets," Rabbi Shmuley says.

4. You can't share secrets with a platonic male or female friend that you don't share with your spouse. "Because then you're sharing an exclusivity with a member of the opposite sex that you're not with your partner, and that can lead to a big no-no," he says.

5. You should not be friends with ex-lovers.

I would probably agree with all except #5. I myself am still friends with my Ex Lover. I do still care about her and her happiness so why not be friends,,,For Now....

What do Women really Want

What do women really want is an age old question that men everywhere has tried to answer. I think, don't know for sure, but it seems to me that women always say one thing but mean another. Like they will say "I want a man that is kind, caring, loving and honest" but I look at the guy they choose and he is the complete opposite!! The guy doesn't do nothing but bring constant drama to her life but if a good guy steps to her she shoots him down.....cold. On top of all of this the guy doesn't even have a job!! When they go out SHE pays for everything, but when she goes out with the good guy HE pays for everything. This make alot of men go out and try to be "hard" when they really are not. Hmmmmm...had someone say ("im not being treated fairly. idkwtf is going on but ima stop tellin ppl how i feel cause it always backfire on me. i wanna be with someone that know what they want and who they want to be with cause having boos aint working out to good for me") Yet u are looking at the exterior of a man instead of interior. so I guess that's why men ask: What do women really want?

Be afraid Cowboy Fans

Ok I know that as a Cowboys fan we have heard that we have Cap problems and have been over the cap by 18 million dollars but freed up a lot of that with the Release of Roy Williams, Marion Barber, Leonard Davis and Marc Columbo. I sit here each day seeing very good free agents on a list headed by Nnamdi Asomugha. Each day we here The hated Philadelphia Eagles sign one by one all thee top free agents from Asomugha to Vince Young to Now DE Cullen Jenkins from Green Bay. Year before last it was Michael Vick. Somewhere other teams are finding the money or creating some kind of cap space to get these guys, why can’t we do the same. Signing Marcus Spears and Kenyon Coleman isn’t what we thought or wanted to see no matter how much people try to sell you on it. These guys didn’t do anything before so makes 2011 any different. I blame Jerry and Stephen Jones for #1 signing Marion Barber to that lucrative contract back in 07 and then going and trading away a 1st round pick for Roy Williams. All that money down the drain and nothing to show for it. I don’t know what is going on in the front office right now but at this point we would be in 3rd or 4th place in the division based on non-movement in free agency. Billion Dollar Stadium and this is the best The Jones family can do to put fans in the seats. Despite the optimism of some fans here in Dallas, I am a realist and reality is this is going to be a long season. Be afraid Cowboy fans.
